While staff and postgraduates have been flitting about the place giving talks and publishing papers as usual, two LEL undergraduates have taken it upon themselves to make a massive difference to the Manchester undergraduate experience. Leah Clegg and Meaghan Couture have developed a Peer Mentoring Programme for the School of Languages, Linguistics and Cultures.

For their efforts they were awarded a special certificate this May: The Outstanding Contribution to Peer Support Award. The certificate honours their commitment, dedication, collaboration and innovation in putting together the programme. Manchet congratulates Leah and Meaghan for their peerless performance, and hopes there will be peer pressure to keep the programme in shape for future years!
