Manchet has learned that colleague Maciej Baranowski‘s paper presented recently in Philadelphia at the annual New Ways of Analyzing Variation conference has just been chosen for publication in a special volume of the Penn Working Papers in Linguistics containing a selection of the best papers of the conference. NWAV is the largest and most important conference in the area of language variation and change held annually in North America. There were 146 papers presented at the conference in Philadelphia last October. Incidentally, Maciej’s paper was earlier listed among the top five papers of the conference in Lauren Hall-Lew‘s round-up of the conference. Well done, Maciej!
