Simon Research Fellowships at Manchester Uni

Posted on January 26, 2009 by

The annual round of advertisements has gone out for Simon Research Fellowships, which according to the advertisement are (very generous!) postdocs

in any of the Social Sciences, broadly conceived, tenable for up to 3 years from 1 September 2009. These fellowships are intended for outstanding early career researchers who have completed a doctoral degree. A record of research and publications or demonstrated potential for research in relevant subject areas is essential.

According to the further particulars, Linguistics is (quite appropriately) included in the social sciences (and indeed, we’ve hosted a Simon Fellow, Beth Evans, in recent memory).  It’s also worth noting that according to the further particulars, in all but very exceptional circumstances, Simon Fellows must hold a PhD from a university located in a country that’s a member of the Commonwealth.  The deadline for applications is 24 February.  All the details are here.
