The flood of publications from Manchester’s young phonologists continues unabated: see previous reports on Manchet here, here, and here.
This time, indefatigable PhD alumnus and research associate Michael Ramsammy, recently honoured with BAAP’s Eugénie Henderson Prize, has published an article on ‘Word-final nasal velarisation in Spanish‘ in Journal of Linguistics. The article reports both on a detailed articulatory experiment involving EPG and on a sophisticated morphophonological analysis supporting Stratal OT: our young phonologists are skilled to the teeth!
Congratulations, Michael!
