Manchester, city of 153 languages

In a previous post, Manchet reported that our great city boasts a hundred languages. We can now be more precise: new census data released this week reveals that 153 different languages are reported by inhabitants as their ‘main language’ – and the actual number of languages used in Manchester is certainly much higher.
