First announced in Manchester Evening News, as previously reported here, the story of Posh & Becks’ ascent up the social ladder has captured the hearts and minds of media folks across the world.

The tale has received coverage on BBC News, the Metro, the Daily Mail, the Sun, and even across the Channel. It was also discussed in a comment piece in the Observer. The BBC story was the fourth most popular on the site for a while, and the finding of the Boorman & Roberts study – reduced /h/-dropping – featured in a quiz of the week’s news.

Radio-wise, Naomi Proszynska has been interviewed on Radio Manchester. Laurel MacKenzie has been interviewed on Radio Manchester, Radio Merseyside, TalkSPORT, and ABC Melbourne in Australia. Last but not least, Laurel appeared on TV, on BBC Breakfast, on 16th April. The featured image is her sitting in the studio with comedian Simon Evans and anchors Bill Turnbull and Susanna Reid. Below are some more pics of Laurel representing our august institution; thanks to Danielle T. for the screenshots!
