Manchet is happy to announce that LEL’s recent job search has resulted in the appointment of two lovely lecturers: Tine Breban and Thea Cameron-Faulkner.

Neither happens to be a stranger to Manchester or to LEL. Tine Breban has been occupying a five-year lectureship in English Language/History of English for the last year, and has already made her mark as a kind, dependable colleague and a versatile researcher. In her new role as Lecturer in Linguistics she will be continuing to teach a variety of courses on the history of English, language change, and all things noun-phrase-related.

Thea Cameron-Faulkner, meanwhile, was a member of our department for several years following the award of her PhD, and will be hopping across from her current post in Psychological Sciences, which she’s occupied since 2010. She’ll be bolstering our teaching provision in psycholinguistics, an area which always holds appeal for a good number of our undergraduates and is essential for LEL’s aim to offer “full service” linguistics and English language courses.

Congratulations to both!
