Scilly Voices: dialect contact in an island community

On Tuesday 18th March, Emma Moore (Sheffield) and Paul Carter (Bangor) will be presenting on The Scilly Voices project: Exploring dialect contact and distinctiveness in an island community. You can view the abstract here.

The talk is part of the Langwidge Sandwidge series, and will illustrate what great things can happen when sociolinguists and phoneticians team up. It will take place from 1-2pm. Tea and biscuits provided; bring your own lunch to munch.
