Walkden on a whether tour

Posted on November 18, 2014 by

George Walkden made the arduous journey to Lancaster last week (11th November) to present new work at their Linguistics Circle with the title The whether report: English embedded questions then and now. This Thursday (20th November) he’ll be presenting the same talk at Edinburgh, at a different Linguistic Circle. Rumour has it that Walkden is aiming to branch out from Linguistic Circles and present at Linguistics triangles, squares and other polygons in future.

The talk discusses the diachrony of the English embedded question-introducer whether and its proper syntactic analysis today.
