Ultrasound workshop at Manchester

On 3rd July, PhD alumna and British Academy postdoctoral fellow Patrycja Strycharczuk returned to Manchester in style, for the purposes of leading a workshop on ultrasound.

Pat was introducing Manchester staff and students to the new EchoB portable ultrasound, which the lab is currently in the process of ordering and which is ideal for fieldwork. The audience ranged from academic staff to undergraduates, and after Pat’s demonstration the team had a hands-on experience trying on the head-set (or “cage”, as it is more commonly called here). There was also discussion of research ideas, and Pat made herself available to consult about individual projects.

The workshop was informally organized by Xiao He, Michaela Hejná, and Wendell Kimper.
