Walkden tops lingBuzz download charts

LEL lecturer George Walkden’s paper The correspondence problem in syntactic reconstruction is currently topping the Recent Downloads chart on linguistics repository lingBuzz, with over 900 downloads!

Walkden is simultaneously also at number 4 in the chart with his paper The status of hwæt in Old English, a controversial paper which led Fark users to accuse him of living a life of trivial pursuit.

You can add to the fun by downloading the correspondence problem paper here, and the hwæt paper here.

Walkden could not be reached for comment, as he was too busy playing a celebratory game of Trivial Pursuit with past chart-toppers Christina Behme, David Adger, and the legendary Haifa Al-Buainain. Allegedly.
