A small contingent of LEL students and staff have made their way to Naples to get some sun, sea and a bit of ICHL 22. Papers by current Mancunians include:

- Kersti Börjars & Kristin Bech (Oslo): Noun phrase internal word order developments in Early Germanic
- Henri Kauhanen & George Walkden: A population dynamic mechanism for the Constant Rate Effect (and beyond)
Other former Mancunians playing a role in the conference include Jóhanna Barðdal, Thórhallur Eythórsson, Marion Elenbaas, Francesco Ciconte, David Willis, Ioanna Sitaridou, Silvio Cruschina and Louise Sylvester. Manchester PhD alumnus Adam Ledgeway, an expert on Neapolitan, delivered the opening plenary.
