Matras on lecture tour in India

Yaron Matras is departing for a lecture tour in India, organized by the British Council. He will be speaking at Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi, at the University of Hyderabad, and at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research in Pune, on ‘The Romani minority in Europe: Language, history, and status’. He will also give a master class on contact linguistics and a keynote address on ‘Theorising language contact: The functional perspective’ at the international conference on Language Contact at Deccan College in Pune.
