Julio in Cambridge

LEL’s newest lecturer Julio Villa-García made a visit to the University of Cambridge last week to give an invited talk On the role of the CP layer in eliding the TP in Spanish.

The talk, presented on 24th May as a joint event between the ARC Romance Linguistics Seminar and SyntaxLab, investigated TP-ellipsis in Spanish in the context of multiple-complementizer clauses (i.e., … que XP que ellipsis licensor ellipsis site) – a construction also attested in related languages such as Asturian, Catalan, Galician, and (European) Portuguese.

Manchet hopes Julio enjoyed his visit!
