Hike in the Peaks

This weekend a small group of LEL staff set off in time-honoured tradition for the LEL divisional hike. The team set off from Edale to walk to Tideswell, which is lecturer George Walkden’s village of origin. Though blessed with distinctly lukewarm weather, the hike was good fun, with a leisurely pace and plenty of striking scenery. The question of how many linguists it takes to reunite a lost lamb with its mother went unanswered, however (though we do know that six is not enough!).
