LEL’s head of department, Professor Andrew Koontz-Garboden, has been awarded an ERC Consolidator Grant. The ERC has three core grant schemes: Starting Grants, Consolidator Grants and Advanced Grants. The ERC Consolidator Grants are awarded to outstanding researchers with at least seven and up to twelve years of experience after PhD, and a scientific track record showing great promise. This news is outstanding, so a sincere congratulations from Manchet to Andrew!

Andrew’s project (short: LexsemLexcat) will look into the lexical semantics of lexical categories. The full list of ERC grantees can be found here.
