Successful viva for Simone De Cia

Simone De Cia successfully passed his viva on Tuesday 26th March. Simone’s dissertation was on ‘Information-Structure-related phenomena in Northern Italian dialects:  Consequences for the geometry of the left periphery’. The thesis was supervised by Delia Bentley and Julio Villa-García, and defended before a committee of Adam Ledgeway (Cambridge) and John Payne (internal examiner). Simone is still in Manchester for the time being, lecturing in the department until the end of this term. Manchet congratulations Simone on an excellent thesis, and promises to report diligently on his next steps.
