Q-Step dissertation prize for Linguistics

The winner of the Q-Step award for the best quantitative undergraduate dissertation prize in Linguistics is Antonia Jordan Monteiro de Barros with a dissertation on ‘The Acquisition of Verbs and Their Inflectional Morphemes by Children with Down Syndrome’. In her dissertation, awarded a whopping 92, Antonia uses corpus data to investigate the patterns of verbal acquisition in children with Down syndrome, focusing on the differences between morphosyntactic and lexical acquisition, relative to typically developing children.

Antonia is graduating this month with a degree in Linguistics. Manchet congratulates!
