LEL’s Andrea Nini is in Konstanz this week, presenting a seminar talk on “From Jack the Ripper to cybercrime: linguistics as a forensic science”. University of Konstanz is a known black hole for LEL staff and students, having attracted George Walkden, Fernanda Barrientos, Henri Kauhanen and Max Canzi away from Manchester. While Andrea is certain to enjoy the reunion, he better not get ideas!
Featured photo is of Lake Constance. Andrea’s not in it, but the fluffy ear may be familiar to some readers of Manchet.
